DCCC Rapid Response Team At Work

Share

DCCC Excecutive Director Jon Vogel sent the following message to DCCC supporters:

Dear Friend,

How's this for rapid response? Right after passing our clean energy bill in the House, Republicans took aim on Democrats who stood against climate change. They launched a blatantly false attack ad that even the non-partisan FactCheck.org labeled "wrong."

False NRCC Ad

Thanks to you, the DCCC's Rapid Response Team caught them red handed and got the ad pulled from the airwaves within hours.

Help us catch the Republicans again the next time they fudge the numbers in an attack on President Obama or House Democrats. Join our grassroots network of Rapid Responders today.

With so many other late breaking developments, we're pleased to bring you the next edition of @ stake.

HEALTH CARE REFORM STATUS UPDATE

Join the Fight for Health Care

Comprehensive health care reform is closer than ever. In the coming days, the House will unveil legislation to meet President Obama's goal of making quality health care affordable for all Americans.

Republicans realize it's now or never to block this historic change. The weeks ahead are critical as Congress moves closer and closer to a vote on the House Floor.

Join the fight for health care reform. Visit our Health Care Action Center to join the thousands who have already shared their stories and made their voices heard against Republicans just saying no to affordable health care.

REPUBLICAN RETREADS -- THEY'RE BAAACK...

Republicans are hoping that without President Obama's name on the ballot in 2010, they can catch America off guard and retake the seats they lost in 2008. Several Republican candidates who we defeated last year, including some of George Bush's biggest Rubber Stamps, are already announcing they are running again.

Send an early message to these former Bush Rubber Stamps that they're not welcome back in Congress. Contribute early to ensure their defeat.

Karl Rove

KARL ROVE FORCED TO TESTIFY

This week, Karl Rove was back on Capitol Hill, but this time he wasn't there to gloat about building the next permanent Republican Majority. After months of delays, Rove was finally hauled before Congress to testify before House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers about his role in the Bush Administration's firing of nine U.S. Attorneys.

Send a message of thanks to Chairman John Conyers for forcing Karl Rove to testify and help us show that the days of Karl Rove Politics are over for good.

INDEPENDENCE DAY AD CAMPAIGN

Thanks to you, we are fighting back against the Republican onslaught of misleading and deceptive attack ads. Your grassroots support funded a campaign of radio ads during the week of Independence Day, highlighting the Republicans' hypocrisy and 'just say no' obstruction of President Obama.

Thank you again for helping President Obama and House Democrats take America in a new direction, especially through your generous financial contributions.

As we speak, we're preparing our latest DCCC Investor Report, showing all the ways that your contributions are having an impact. Watch for it, coming soon.

And also stay tuned for future editions of @Stake for more late breaking news from the campaign trail.

Sincerely,

Jon Vogel
