Despite Unemployment Rates, Republicans Keeping Saying NO to Creating American Jobs
Despite today's news that George Bush's failed economic policies are still resulting in job losses, House Republicans continue to be the party of ‘no' and the status quo by rejecting President Obama and House Democrats' common-sense solutions to get Americans back to work.
- Republicans said NO to saving or creating 3.5 million jobs in the Economic Recovery and Reinvestment Act
- Republicans said NO to creating 1.7 million jobs in the American Clean Energy and Security Act
- Republicans said NO to creating nearly 140,000 jobs in the 21st Century Green High-Performing Public School Facilities Act
"Times are tough, Americans deserve more than Republicans' no jobs and no solutions, and no progress commitment to the status quo," said DCCC spokesperson Jennifer Crider. "Republicans ought to roll their sleeves up and work with President Obama and House Democrats on turning the economy around."
