Kilroy Maintains 8 Point Lead Over Stivers in New Poll
DCCC Press:
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee released
a new Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research poll conducted on October 19-20 of 400
likely voters with a 4.9 percent margin of error showing that Mary Jo Kilroy
maintains her 8 point lead over Steve Stivers 44-36 with 11 percent going for
Independent candidate Don Eckhart. At the presidential level, Barack Obama has
expanded his lead over John McCain 51-39
percent.
"As a career lobbyist, Steve Stivers may have won over President Bush's closest supporters in Washington, but in Central Ohio, Stivers continues to be rejected for the role he played as a banking lobbyist and legislator who contributed to the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression," said Ryan Rudominer, Midwest Regional Press Secretary for the DCCC. "In stark contrast, Mary Jo Kilroy is a strong voice for change who will stand up for middle class Ohioans, strengthen the economy, and make health care more affordable."
Previously, the DCCC released a Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research poll conducted September 30-October 1 of 401 likely voters with a 4.9 percent margin of error showing Kilroy leading Steve Stivers 44-36 percent with 7 percent going for Independent candidate Don Eckhart. At the presidential level, Barack Obama led John McCain 46-39 percent.
