Rep. Sessions Ignores 1/3rd of Constituents Who Are Uninsured; Most of Any House Republican

DCCC Press:

A new report released this weekend shows that one out of every three of Representative Pete Sessions' constituents are currently uninsured, which is the highest share of uninsured constituents of any Republican in the House. Sessions continues to be a supporter of the health insurance industry and an opponent of reform efforts. He has received nearly $400,000 from the insurance industry.

"One third of Representative Pete Sessions' constituents have no health care and he responds by taking more than $384,000 from the insurance industry while working hard to block health insurance reform," Ryan Rudominer, Spokesman for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, said. "Representative Sessions has done everything in his power to delay, halt, stymie or stop any effort to insure every American including the third of his constituents without health insurance. The people of Texas' 32nd District deserve a Representative who puts their constituents first, not the health insurance industry."
