After I sent my own apology I felt so bad with the sarcasm included with the message so let me say it now loud and clear ... I’m not sorry Rush!

“kiss King Rush’s ring.”

I think you misspoke. It’s not his “ring” they’re kissing. Hint: it sounds like brass.

Rush is not running for office so is not very concerned what people say.
However, I wish that the Dems would at least get the quotes right, like me Rush is no fan of socialism and said he hopes BO fails so that his socialist agenda is not implemented.

Anita…as you can see, there is no point talking to the children here.  They fail to consider anything, because they lack the ability of independent thought, and IF the two nuerons they possess could get around a single thought, it would not comprehend the content anyways; ergo, Eugene, our last erudite poster.

1.  Ever hear any other Leader in history tell the public not to listen to someone else?  NEVER has happened before…I guess they must be scared of Limbaugh or something.  This is a first.

2.  What he said EXACTLY was…“this great nation was founded and built upon capitalism, and IF Obama wants to make this a socialistic society, THEN I want him to fail in this endevour”.

3.  Good for Rush if he has EARNED a mansion, servants, or whatever the fruits of his labors has brought forth.  Unlike Nancy Pelosi, he did not use taxpayers money to buy himself a 9 million dollar jet.  He is not using taxpayers money at the tune of 60-80,000 dollars PER DAY to fly back and forth to California to check on her vast Corporate Vineyard empire.

4.  Unlike the Libs, he is not espousing “we gotta help the poor”, while they themselves do not lift one finger to help them.  Ever hear of the Nancy Pelosi Foundation for the Poor? The worth of the Rockefellers is 80 trillion dollars, they made 3.2 trillion last year alone. Ever hear of the Rockefellers spreading their wealth around to help anyone?

5.  These idiots will make a post but will not even read what you wrote, will not respond directly to what is said IF they do read it, and can not offer one single FACT to back up anything they say.  THey are brainless kids that just regurgitate whatever it is they hear…much like a 2 yr old trying to mimic what they hear their parents say.

If they were not so pathetically stupid, it would be laughable.

Posted by spinpolitico | 03/06/09, 05:37 PM EST

This is funny.  If you watch the original video in it entirety, you will clearly see that Steel was not attacking Rush, and that he was making a different point. Any other conclusion is a lie.  Not a misunderstanding, just a lie.  Even Steeles apology was just a clarification that he had not intended to insult Rush.

I hope you are all proud of yourself with how good your lies and distortions sound.  Any 5 year old would be amazed at your deceptive prowess.  We adults however, just see the lies.

Meanwhile, your attempt to distract the adults from your destruction of the country, is not working. I you find yourself distracted by this, you are not an adult.  Please grow up.

AWESOME.. Spin, you and I were on the same page. You and I were crafting our responses, and calling them children at the same time, with out any collusion.. It is so obvious that these people are immature children, that we determined that independently, and posted similar thoughts, without having to discuss together it first.

Great minds think alike.

The Republican war machine is doomed and they are too blind to see it.  They may not see it until what’s left of them is a pile of ashes.  They are their own worst enemy and the enemy of the peace-loving citizens not only of the US but the world.

I loved sending my fake apology to Rush. I left him a very brief PS, too. Two words.

Anyhow, here’s a question: why at exactly 13 seconds on the counter does the video contain a subliminal flash of Chuck D? Are you subliminally trying to get us to, I don’t know… distance ourselves from Flava Flav?

Posted by yosephus in Los Angeles ( www ) | 03/06/09, 06:44 PM EST

I think it’s interesting to hear how Democrats are supposedly trying to implement a socialist government because they believe leadership, oversight, and control is necessary in a free economy.  I believe part of the reason we’re in such a mess now is because we almost reached a perfect free economy.  Think about it, regulation was almost obsolete, oversight was dismissed by those you claim are most productive, and leadership was based on lies.  We ended up being led by what is unfolding as one of the most dishonest leaders ever and some of the Republican Party behind Rush want everyone to agree.

I’M SORRY RUSH!

Posted by Terry | 03/06/09, 07:11 PM EST

Terry,
Too much regulation was the direct cause of the mess our banks and mortgage companies got into.  Read a little history.  Then buy ” Atlas Shrugged,by Ayn Rand. ” and see a speeded up version where we too are heading with a socialist/ marxist government.
I have been there, escaped, and am heading back with you and the rest of the US now with BO’s Saul Alinskis play book.

Posted by Anita in Aptos | 03/06/09, 07:29 PM EST

Anita,

I can’t say I believe too much regulation caused lenders to bundle high risk home mortgages and sell them to investors but if that’s how you see it, sure.

I don’t believe anyone is really asking for a socialist/ marxist economy but I can say I believe Bernie Madoff would laugh at you if you said there was too much regulation.

I’m also sorry you refer to “[me] and the U.S.” like you don’t belong here because I welcome diversity of thought from outsiders.  Maybe you should read some of OUR history.

I’M SORRY RUSH!

Terry,
Heading back to socialism metaphorically, not to another country. I belong here alright.
Before I took the plunge I studied US history in college when getting my degrees, fortunately it was far shorter than that from where I came.  I loved reading about the early days of forming the constitution, amazing men. Sad how it has been mangled through the years.
This youtube will tell you much about our credit caused financial crisis mess.

Anita,

The good news is education never ends no matter how many degrees we have and no matter where we’re from.  Enjoy hearing about your education and hope it continues throughout life.  Fortunately, for us, if you’re right about too much regulation we’ll vote for a new president in 4 years and we can change things again.  But, unlike Rush I don’t hope President Obama fails since he represents America and if he fails we fail.  Therefore, I conclude you don’t agree with Rush’s hope of failure either?
Have a good evening!

I’m Sorry Rush!

Posted by Terry | 03/06/09, 09:04 PM EST

Rush is an entertainer, basically a shock-jock who improves his bottom line every time we talk about him. Unfortunately, a lot of really stupid people haven’t figured that out yet and they hang on his every word.

Rush and the Republicans are praying the Obama recovery plan doesn’t work because he and the so-called Republicans will become more and more insignificant as the Obama recovery plan takes hold.  Americans will say “Bu Bye” to the G “NO” P, the party of “just say NO”.

It is interesting to watch repus spin their lies.  She did not buy a plane using taxpayers money.  This fact is that after 9-11 the speaker of the house was given use of a plane by the secret service to keep the line of secession intact in case the president and vice president were killed.  This plane was, therefore, first used by the republican speaker of the house Dennis Hastert.  I didn’t hear repuglican’ts complain back then!

It must be nice to be able to ignore facts land live in the land of OZ like Conservatives, Republican’ts and Dittio heads.  Who walk in lock step and refuse to think or see facts.

Ralph Nader recently stated that he remembered his father saying many decades ago around the family dining table that capitalism will remain so long as socialism is around to bail it out.  How prescient!

Adam Smith, the father of capitalism, once admitted (Book:  Adam Smith’s Mistake) that his system had a serious flaw:  it rewarded the unethical and punished the ethical and that only government could correct this…by regulation!

We have a socialistic system in our police and fire depts, in our public school system, in the health care system our congress and federal employees enjoy.  Our graduated income tax is (horrors!) a communist idea.

Of course, we could dump all these corrections that have made capitalism more humane and fair and go back to the 1800’s “Scrooge” system…a more “pure” capitalistic one and one, I might add, we were fast approaching during the past 8 Bush years!

I see here so many lies and misunderstandings about the truth.  I read these slanted views of the world and wonder why so many of you are completely clueless.  You sit here claiming one side is just repeating what they heard, while just repeating what YOU heard.

I would urge all of you to go actually read the Declaration of Independence.  Actually read the Constitution. Actually read the Bill of Rights.  Actually read the Stimulus Package Bill.  Actually listen to Rush Limbaugh. Actually follow up on the CRA, Carter, Clinton, Bush, and Congress’ roles in this situation.  Read the actual bills.  Read the actual reports from then. Read the underlying documents for the parts you learn about, but don’t fully understand or know about.

Then, after you have done all of that, you will be qualified to come back here and discuss this with us adults.  Until then, shut up and go back to your room.

The other parts of you, the ones who know they are distorting the truth.  To you I say, you are traitors!  You can’t win by being honest, so you lie about the past.  You are sick, sad examples of the worst dregs of society.  I truly hope you get what is coming to you.  You are a disgrace.

I’m sincerely sorry that a hypocrite drug addict as yourself hasn’t received the harsh sentence you advocate for drug abusers. Most of all I’m sorry that, an individual who had failed at everything in their life, fate made you infamous, grossly obese, and soulless.

WAAAAA!! WAAAAAA!! Please don’t insult my intelligence with your criticism of Rush Limbaugh. While you and all the other liberals are complaining. My job, income and my retirement has TANKED! My house value has gone in the toilet and your party refuses to do anything while the president calls the stock market a POLL!!! This is incredible to me. That an educated man like the president would call the stock market a POLL!!! No wonder we are in such ruins financially!!! This person you are complaining about is a distraction from the REAL problems we have and that is a president and congress that REFUSE to do anything to correct the banking problem except throw our kids and grandkids money at it and hope to BAIL IT OUT!!!!! POOR Business sense. COMMON SENSE IS GONE IN THE DEMOCRATIC LIBERAL CONGRESS!!!! They need to go back to school and take a course in COMMON SENSE. READ Poor Richard’s Almanac and Stop wasting time on a radio talk show host’s statement you DON’T LIKE!!! We need to fix the economy NOT grow the government and not spend the future generation’s earnings!!!

A simple question.  For those of you that feel the same as Jagdish.

You all “fully support[ed] the real president” when it was Bush, right?

Posted by Chris D in Left Coast | 03/06/09, 11:00 PM EST

Terry,

So you’re claiming that all of this “Credit Crises” is the fault of Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac? . . . even though they have far fewer sub-prime mortgages than the private banking industry. And your argument is based on a severely edited YouTube video?

I would say that lax regulation was the cause of this recession we’re in, and that it is more aptly applied to the likes of BofA, AIG, Countrywide, etc. To pin it on one player in the game - in fact the least risky of the players, precisely because it is (slightly) government run - is absurdity and ideological blindness to the extreme.

By the way, I’ve read Atlas Shrugged, and all the other books by Ayn Rand . . . the thing is, these books are fiction. They are soap operas (with all the sexual heat and political intrigue), splayed on an anti-communist sentimentality popular in the 1950’s. The thing to remember is that they are fiction novels. FICTION NOVELS!

If you base your political philosophy on fiction, you are not necessarily the most apt person to advise our political future.

Posted by Frank | 03/06/09, 11:01 PM EST

Anita,

Tell me exactly,... what is the color of the sky in your universe? Just because you’ve read a few books doesn’t anoint you the economic “expert”, or change the reality of our current economic catastrophe. Anyone can find scores of books to support their misguided delusions. Too much regulation!? Pleeeeease! Viewpoints such as yours just reinforce my belief that at least 20-30% of our population will follow an extreme ideology without question to the bitter end. Well, wake up: The train bearing the fruits of unregulated greedy scams has arrived. Hope you enjoy the ride.

Posted by David L. Lyle in Houston, TX ( www ) | 03/06/09, 11:06 PM EST

Frank,
Because the video is edited, that means that Bush did not try to increase regulations, and that the Democrats did not try to stop him?

Also, to quote Bob McTeer, president of the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank from 1991 to 2004; “There was a lot of pressure from Congress and generally everywhere to make homeownership affordable for poor and low-income people. Some mortgages were made that would not have ordinarily been made.” He also said “When a bank made a decision to purchase mortgaged-backed securities, they would somehow determine if some of them were in zip codes covered by the CRA, and therefore they could get CRA credit.”

Sounds to me like more than just FM/FM banks were affected by the federal governments insistence bank make bad loans.

Posted by Chris D in Left Coast | 03/06/09, 11:07 PM EST

Yes Terry, that is precisely what we are claiming.  Read your history.

1.  1997 Carter institutes the COmmunity Reinvestment Act, thus allowing subprime mortgages to a “select” few..which put 7% of of all home mortgages into the marketplace.  (lets forget what ELSE Carter did at the time, which caused interest rates to soar to 21%, gas line around the block everywhere in the country, creation of Osama bin Laden and ‘blow yourself up at the mall’ islamic radicals funded by his new best friend, the Ayotollah, etc etc)

2.  The Clinton comes along and de-regulates all banking practices and credit requirements in 1999 by repealing the Glass-Steagall Act which had been on the books since 1934…thus ALLOWING all the unsavory banking practices, totally negating credit requirements, even allowing for illegal aliens with no social security number to get their CRA loans.  Since FM/FM underwrote these loans, and since AIG insured the bundled ‘commodities’ (that banks were NEVER allowed to even do before Clinton enabled it)...that is the PRIMARY precursor to this mess.

3. Cliinton (albeit ONE time only), said in a Larry King interview that “in hindsight, this was the biggest mistake of my career”.  Naturally, this was aired once to my recollection…and never brought up again.  Our lovely unbiased media.  This was in October, 2008 btw…and I was watching it directly…not off hersay or YouTube.

Rush Limbaugh wants the President to debate him on his Radio show. If I were the President, I would do it. One precondition: the debate should immediately follow a game of one on one basketball.

Posted by jules teasley in Missouri | 03/07/09, 06:08 AM EST

Here is an example of blindness.  The argument is being made that deregulation and lack of enforcement of the regulations that exist is the result of the Democrats.
It was Ronald Ray-Gun (???the Democrat???) who stated that “The most terrifying words in the English language are: “I’m from the government and I’m here to help.” and “Government’s view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it. ”  It was Ronald McDonald that started the deregulation movement to get government off the backs of business so they can be more “creative”.  The root of our problem started with this mind set.
Fast forward to Bush.  He is Ronald on steroids.  The fact is that from 2000 to 2008, the government was run by the republicans.  They controlled the presidency and the congress.  It was in this time period that, whatever merger regulations still existed, the Bush administration refused to enforce whatever regulations were still on the books.  Greenspan and Bush believed that the fox would self regulate the hen house.  NOT one piece of legislation increasing regulations was introduced by or passed by the GOP.
Now that the Democrats want to increase regulations, wall street and the GOP are railing against any new oversight.

One other small point.  60% of the people who got subprime loans could have received regular loans.  Why didn’t they?  Because the brokers who sold them the subprime loans got DOUBLE the bonus if they sold a subprime loan over a regular loan.  In other words, there was great incentive for brokers to steer people into a subprime loan and away from a regular mortgage.

All those who want the mess the Republicans created to continue to cause the destruction of the US economy, our democratic government, an infrastructure of roads and bridges necessary for the economy to actually work, keep it up.  If things get worse, it will be because you didn’t want to help and did everything you could to prevent the help from happening.  When you lose your position, it will be your own fault.  I hope you are forced to live in poverty so you can get a taste of what you have caused for millions of others in the US and abroad and I hope you learn your lesson.  If you don’t then you’ll find yourself being flushed out of society.

The Germans followed a leader who was a monster ,by the name of Adolf Hitler, who at least served in the German Army honorably, the Cubans picked a leader named Castro who also was a fighter and served his country honorably, there are quite a list of leaders who at least served their country even though they were tyrants. Now you have the Leader of the GOP who took deferments because he had a cyst on his rectum (from What?), married three times, a Drug Addict, four hundred lbs of blubber, and the Repiglicans idolize this Icon of the GOP.  Do they have the same mentality of the Nazi’s?

Mr. Moerke,

You are wailing against the democrats for throwing money towards the banks? That (TARP) was a fix created by the George Bush administration back in late ‘08.

You are wailing that your job, income, retirement and house value have tanked? That is the result of the Bush administration’s policies toward deregulation of financial industries and tax cuts for the wealthy.

I don’t understand how you can blame Obama for the recession, he’s been president for 46 days, and has spent those days busily trying to mop up the mess left for him by Bush.

Posted by Frank | 03/07/09, 12:30 PM EST

Fiction which Ayn Rand wrote with first hand experience grace of her Russian upbringing.
What was that old saying, ” if we fail to learn by history?”

Posted by Anita in Aptos | 03/07/09, 12:44 PM EST

Anita,

Please point me to instances where President Bush tried to increase regulation for all mortgage companies (as opposed to just government mortgage companies). I’m curious to see when Bush was pushing for more regulation of the financial industry.

As to the “pressure” from congress to make home loans available to low-income people, private banks are free to make loans to whom they choose, if they were being subsidized to do so, please show me the evidence. And I know for certain that democrats were not pressuring banks to bundle loans and sell them on the market with securitization by none other than AIG (who has now taken $173 billion of tax money).

Was it not President Bush who said, after 9-11, “go shopping”? George Bush encouraged people to buy stuff, from a necklace to a car to a house. It didn’t matter so much whether they could afford it, as it was “good for the economy”. And you want to blame the democrats for our current over-leveraged position?

Posted by Frank | 03/07/09, 12:57 PM EST

Terry, Laurance, and Steve are obviously not the brightest bulbs on the front porch…ESPECIALLY when alluding to Rush being gay, when it is the Liberals that are the bleeding hearts parading around in support of ANY gay issue that comes along….and when Barney Franks and Rham the Ballerina are outrageous flamers!  lol .  Gays is not even the issue to these posts, but that just had to let their mud sling…pretty funny when it is coming from the Butt Humper Party!  lol

Is the best you have to blame Bush? ALL the politicians contributed to this!  Franks and Dodds, whose job it was to oversee all of this, kept reporting “all is fine”, while taking money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  And it is a FACT that:

1.  In 1977 Carter insitutes the Community Reinvestment Act which opened the door to subprime loans.

2.  That Clinton repealed the Glass-Steagall Act in 1999 which allowed for deregulation of all banking investment and laoning practices.

3.  So, if some idiot cannot figure out for himself that as ajanitor making 35k/yr,  he really should not be buying a $1,000,000 house (irrespective how attractive they might have packaged it DUE to what Clinton did)...then tough shit…It is called self-responsibility. We have al lmade mistakes in our lives…at least I have.  I live by my own mistakes, I reap my own rewards.  I do not ask someone to take responsibilty for my BAD decisions, nor do I wish to be told another gets to participate in my self-earned good fortunes.  That too is called responsibility.  THat is how this country was built.

It is ironic to note that the first year the pilgrims were here, the had a socialistic collective when it came to growing and harvesting food.  They starved.  Many died. It was a winter that almost extinguished them.  The next year it was announced…“grow your own food, and any surpluses you have you can sell”.  They prospered.  THat was actually the birth of the capitalistic system in this country.  It was that philosophy of self responsibility, self determination, that made the United States the most powerful nation in teh world in less then 300 years.  As much as you idiots might want to re-write history, the facts reamin.  We did not become a great nation utilizing a Socialistic Model.  Everyone else has.  This is why we passed everyone else, even those countries that have been established for 1,000’s of years.

Now you want to REGRESS, to emulate those whose model of Governance have made them second to us, have made them reliant upon us.  The world has always looked to the US to aide them, not the other way around.  Now we are headed DOWN to their same level, and morons like “you” are the reason why.  You typify the average American, uneducated, lacking the ability to think for themselves, irresponsible, thinking you “deserve” rather then accepting the responsibility of “i should earn”.

As one person suggested, the Republicans should all go somewhere else.  These Liberals woudl die from extinction.  Who would work?  Whose money would they live off?  Within 50 years, we woudl have a barren country, extinguised from Aids and starvation.  I can think of nothing better!

Posted by spinpolitico | 03/07/09, 01:21 PM EST

Dear SpinPolitico,

It was actually that the Pilgrims decided to settle a swamp and were decimated by disease. They also lacked proper farming skills which led to hunger/starvation. It wasn’t until the next year, when they befriended the Native Americans, that they were taught how to grow appropriate foods and how to till and fertilize that they were able to grow enough food to feed themselves. Then the pilgrims promptly attacked the Native Americans for their land, and kept doing so for 250 years until we had taken over the whole continent. Is that the kind of “earning” you are referencing? You earned this land by taking it forcibly from those who were here before you?

Very responsible of you.

“1. In 1977 Carter insitutes the Community Reinvestment Act which opened the door to subprime loans”.

No it did not.  What it did was stop the practice known as “red lining”.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Community_Reinvestment_Act
“The law emphasizes that an institution’s CRA activities should be undertaken in a safe and sound manner, and does not require institutions to make high-risk loans that may bring losses to the institution.”  Red Lining is when you “mark out” a neighborhood as “undesirable” (usually black neighborhoods) and refuse to give a loan to anyone who lives there, based not on their income or their credit rating but on the “area” they live in.  It had nothing to do with subprime loans.

“Within 50 years, we woudl (sic) have a barren country, extinguised
from Aids and starvation. I can think of nothing better!”  Good I hope you are the one that gets aids.  After all, that is your wish.  Ray-Gun ignored AIDS because it was a “Gay Disease”.  The rate of AIDS was on the decrease until Bush and friends decided that “safe sex"should not be taught.  Rather “abstinence” was the answer.  We know what they call people who practice “abstinence” .. PARENTS.  After bush instituted his new policy, HIV rates increased as well as unwanted pregnancies.

The reason why certain Americans are “uneducated, lacking the ability to think for themselves, irresponsible, ” could be because conservative have been trying to destroy the educational system.  Getting rid of the Department of Education, cutting school spending.  Refusing to spend money on up grading or replacing old schools.  Refusing to spend money to pay teachers higher salaries to attract better teachers, etc.

The really sad thing here, it not that you guys lie but that you believe your own lies.  When you believe your own lies, you will never be able to open your minds to the truth.

Just a little factoid, a study was done recently that showed the heterosexual men that were most homophobic (like you) actually, had a greater sexually arousal watching gay porn then did regular heterosexaul non-homophobic males

When you stupid drones AKA dummycrats, realize you have screwed your children and grandchildren with never ending deficits, maybe then you will realize what you have done. I’m sure you don’t mind screwing Republican children, but I really hope you won’t be getting enjoyment watching your own children suffer. WHO DO YOU THINK IS GOING TO PAY FOR THESE TRILLION DOLLAR DEFICITS? I for one, am sick and tired of busting my ass to pay some miscreant to sit home drinking and watching soap operas. GET a freaking job! Actually help this great country - PAY TAXES.

Frank.
Presidents cannot make laws but 4 times Bush requested to congress that they cut back with the mortgage and this shows what happened with one of the hearings.

Anita;
The video you refer to is late 2004.
Who controlled the White House?
A Republican.
Who controlled the Senate?
Republicans.
Who controlled the house?
Republicans.
So the Republicans were in charge.
They could have passed anything they wanted.
Bush never vetoed anything the Republican controlled Congress passed.
Why?
Because Republicans walk in lock step (no independent thinking involved).
Why didn’t the president propose legislation?
Who knows? because the lock step republicans would have passed it.
It is just a little (note the sarcasm) disingenuous to blame the party that was not in control, the party that was totally out of power for lack of response to this crisis that the republicans saw comming. It was up to the party in power to respond.
Remember, all the “smart” people on wall street said everything was OK.  You know the people who control the republicans.
The people who got what ever deregulation they wanted.
The people on Wall Street who helped create this crisis with the help of the republicans.
The people who hate regulations.

Sorry I couldn’t respond sooner but I just returned from a tax revolt event in Fullerton that was attended by 15,000 people. Do you think I would see any news about the event. NO. Why because the liberal media that coincidentally fail the people everyday to let people see the truth. Here is an example. It is all over the news that after nearly 3 months and nearly 685 Billion shot down the stimulus rat hole President O’bamma was at a police event in Ohio to show how his stimulus was going to save 25 NEW officers for 9 more months. The news fails to finish the story and say then these same officers will be laid off! It takes job creation money not tax money borrowed from the future to make these positions permanent. Businesses create these jobs that create the tax not borrowed money on the future to permanently pay for these officers. These same businesses that Liberals and Democrats call the rich create these jobs and how are they rewarded by turning ALL the profit to taxes. WE MUST HAVE Businesses NOT borrowed tax money to create new jobs.
Here is another TRUTH. OUR CURRENT PRESIDENT is NOT ADDRESSING the real problem we have which is the BANK FAILURES. Banks that fail MUST go bankrupt not go to the taxpayers and borrow from my kids future earnings to save them. THESE banks created their own business problems. It is and will always be a travesty to put money into a company that has FAILING BUSINESS practices to stimulate their business. Enter the DNC and current president. STOP borrowing from the future generation’s earnings and let the chips fall where they may and START OVER if we must and maybe DO IT RIGHT the next time. GET OFF BUSH!! HE is out and we must move on to solve the problems we have NOW!!! I will end up on the streets as you will also if this problem isn’t fixed!!! I want to fix the problem NOW and Not use money borrowed from the future that may and may not work to fix it. I have been in the workforce for more then 40 years and never have I seen the business practices I see being used now. POUR future tax money (STIMULUS) at a failing business to prop it up!!! NEVER! NEVER! NEVER! Could this be the reason the stock market is TANKING!!! BUSINESS people KNOW this DOESN’T WORK!!! ONLY POLITICIANS and EX LAW professors think it will work!! This is probably why everyone asked to serve with Geitner has turned the job DOWN!!! INCLUDING ALL HIS 117 plus associates.
