BREAKING: House Ethics Committeee Finds Buchanan Failed to Disclose Income or Business Interests

The bipartisan House Ethics Committee today unanimously agreed that Congressman Buchanan did not report ownership interests or income he received which is “required by law,” while facing ongoing investigations by the FBI, IRS and a federal grand jury for his roles in a scheme to funnel money from his corporations into his campaign coffers, tax evasion, and witness tampering. CNN recently reported that the “federal investigations underway could result in Buchanan serving his next term behind bars.”

As House Ethics found, Congressman Buchanan failed to disclose assets that were “deeply linked” to more than $136,000 in campaign contributions, according to the New York Times. Congressman Buchanan is Finance Chairman for the National Republican Congressional Committee.
