Bush’s Budget Plan a Dud

I think that the Reuters headline says it all.

CBO: Bush Budget Plan Barely Helps Economy

The Director of the non-partisan CBO (Congressional Budget Office), Douglas Holtz-Eakin, indicates that:

”...neither the spending controls nor the tax cuts were large enough to make a difference. “

Whoah.

UPDATE: I suspect that the above may explain why 57% of people polled by the Washington Post/ABC News want us to move away from the current course pushed by Bush and DeLay. (full story here - registration required)
