Danny Tarkanian Named to HouseOfScandal.org
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) named Republican congressional candidate Danny Tarkanian as the HouseofScandal.org’s Corrupt Republican of the Month for September. HouseOfScandal.org highlights and chronicles the House Republicans’ scandal-plagued Majority, including their congressional candidates like Danny Tarkanian.
Republican Danny Tarkanian’s career has been punctuated by fiscal irresponsibility and putting his political interests ahead of his obligations. Tarkanian owes the government $17 million from a bad land deal, but invested hundreds of thousands in his own campaigns. Across Nevada, people struggle to pay their bills and meet their own financial obligations, but Danny Tarkanian is trying to squirm his way out of paying his debts that taxpayers could be on the hook for.

“Danny Tarkanian fits perfectly with the scandal-plagued Republican Majority whose top priorities are protecting their own personal bank accounts, campaign treasuries and special interest backers — not the best interests of middle class families and seniors,” said Jesse Ferguson of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
House Republican Leaders pledged a ‘zero-tolerance’ policy on ethics in this new Majority, but have overlooked the ethical challenges of their own Members and candidates like Danny Tarkanian.
