DCCC Chairman Steve Israel’s Statement on Memorial Day

DCCC Chairman Steve Israel released the following statement today on Memorial Day:

"On Memorial Day we honor the sacrifice of our fallen heroes and the devotion these brave men and women showed defending our country’s values at home and abroad.

"We are reminded of the sacrifice our troops and veterans make while they are deployed overseas and the challenges their children and families face here at home. The courage and bravery of our men and women in uniform has paved the way for freedom and allowed democracy to thrive.

"We come together as a nation on Memorial Day to remember those who have been lost and thank those who are still in service to our nation today."
