DCCC Poll Shows Statistical Tie Between Ewing and Congressman Terry

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee released an automated poll today showing a close race between Congressman Lee Terry and Democratic challenger John Ewing in Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District. Terry is below the 50 percent threshold with 48 percent and Ewing is within the margin of error with 44 percent. As his name identification grows, it’s a positive sign for Ewing that of voters who know both candidates, Ewing leads 50 percent to 47 percent. .

“Congressman Lee Terry’s negative campaign and terrible agenda for Nebraska’s seniors and middle class has taken its toll and voters are rejecting him,” said Stephen Carter of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “After voting to end Medicare’s guaranteed benefits in order to pay for tax cuts for millionaires, Congressman Terry can’t run on his failed record so he is relying on a false, negative campaign.”
