DCCC Releases First Wisconsin TV Ad: “Sean Duffy Doesn’t Get It”

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee today launched its first Independent Expenditure campaign TV ad in Wisconsin holding Congressman Sean Duffy accountable for protecting his own pay, but voting against ensuring soldiers’ pay was not interrupted as the U.S. faced a looming government shutdown.  The DCCC ad, “Sean Duffy Doesn’t Get It,” features footage of Congressman Duffy claiming he struggled on his $174,000 taxpayer funded salary and begins running today.

Script of DCCC IE AD “Sean Duffy Doesn’t Get It”:

Voiceover:      They’ve fought for us.  Walked miles in these boots.

Voiceover:      And Congressman Duffy’s walked in these… a-hem… shoes.

Voiceover:      Facing a government shutdown…Duffy voted against making sure our soldiers got paid. Against increasing combat pay.

Voiceover:      But Duffy made sure he got paid.

Duffy:             “I’ve got one paycheck so I struggle to meet my bills”

Voiceover:      Congressman Duffy just doesn’t get it.
