DCCC Releases New Ad - Matt Doheny: Workers Lost Jobs, Doheny Got Rich

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is launching its third Independent Expenditure campaign TV ad in NY-21, criticizing millionaire Matt Doheny for leading the restructuring of a company that saw 500 workers lose their jobs and executives receive bonuses. But it gets worse: the company where Doheny made his fortune invested in offshore companies that used cheap foreign labor and put its money in Caribbean island banks where it could avoid U.S. taxes. The DCCC ad begins airing today.

Voiceover:  Matt Doheny called it restructuring. But if you look closer?

Five hundred workers lost their jobs.

While executives received $40 million in bonuses...

Thanks to Matt Doheny’s quote restructuring. Think that’s bad? Look even closer.

Millionaire Doheny made his fortune at a company that used cheap foreign labor…

And put its money in Caribbean Island banks where it could avoid U.S. taxes.

Matt Doheny? We’ve seen enough.
