Democrats’ Ground-Game Helps Make Illinois Early Vote History

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s statewide “Illinois Votes” program helped drive the first day of in person early voting this week to record-setting levels. Headlines across Illinois show that the first day of in person early vote in every critical region drew strong turnout and DCCC reports track early voting as already surpassing pace from 2008.

On Saturday October 27th, the DCCC is hosting an Early Vote Grassroots Day of Action with phone banks, canvasses and rallies to maximize voter outreach and encourage supporters to vote in person from now until Election Day at locations in every competitive district in Illinois.  The DCCC has called more than 1 million supporters in Illinois and knocked nearly 400,000 doors with 30 staff from 12 DCCC Illinois Victory offices across the state.
