More Democratic Momentum, New CNN Poll Shows Democrats +6
Democrats continue to gain momentum as the latest CNN poll shows that Americans think the country would be better off with a Democratic-controlled Congress by 6 points (45 - 39 percent).
- Among independents the lead grows to an 8-point advantage (41 - 33 percent).
This comes one week after the latest Battleground Survey by Democracy Corps found that Democratic candidates have a 6-point lead (50 - 44 percent) with Democratic challengers reaching the critical 50-percent threshold in the most vulnerable 27 House Republican-held districts.
In addition, today the Rothenberg Political Report upgraded Democratic prospects in two races, moving CA-52 (Scott Peters v. Congressman Brian Bilbray) to Tossup and WA-01 (Suzan DelBene v. John Koster) to Lean Democrat.
- Yesterday, Roll Call upgraded Democrats’ prospects in two races: MI-03 (Steve Pestka v. Congressman Justin Amash) and WA-01 (Suzan DelBene v. John Koster).
