More District by District Polls Show Democrats Well-Positioned for November

The DCCC released another crop of IE polls and highlighted campaign and outside group polls showing even more Democrats in a strong position for November.  Here are some highlights of the recent polling:

DCCC Independent Expenditure Polls

Bright Leads Roby by 12 in New AL-02 Poll
A new Greenberg Quinlan Rosner poll shows Representative Bobby Bright has expanded his lead over Republican challenger Martha Roby to 12 percent.  Bright leads Roby 51 percent to 39 percent.  Conducted October 9-12, the poll surveyed 400 likely voters and has a 4.9 percent margin of error.                                  

Causey Leads Crawford in New AR-01 Poll
A new Anzalone Liszt Research poll shows Democrat Chad Causey leading Republican challenger Rick Crawford by 2 percent. Causey leads Crawford 44 percent to 42 percent.  Conducted October 11-13, the poll surveyed 400 likely voters and has a 4.9 percent margin of error. 

Outside Group Polls

Bishop Leads Altschuler by 12 in New NY-01 Poll
A new Siena Research Institute poll shows Representative Tim Bishop leading Republican challenger Randy Altschuler by 12 percent.  Bishop leads Altschuler 51 percent to 39 percent.  Conducted October 6-11, the poll surveyed 615 likely voters and has a 4.0 percent margin of error. Rahall Leads Maynard by 19 in New WV-03 Poll
A new Anzalone Liszt Research poll shows Representative Nick Rahall leading Republican challenger Spike Maynard by 19 percent.  Rahall leads Maynard 56 percent to 37 percent.  Conducted October 10-12, the poll surveyed 400 likely voters and has a 4.9 percent margin of error.  [Herald-Dispatch, 10/14/10]

Owens Leads Doheny by 5 in New NY-23 Poll
A new Siena Research Institute poll shows Representative Bill Owens leading Republican challenger Matt Doheny by 5 percent – even with Doug Hoffman out.  Owens leads Doheny 44 percent to 39 percent.  Conducted October 5-7, the poll surveyed 607 likely voters and has a 4.0 percent margin of error. Lentz and Meehan Statistically Tied in New PA-07 Poll
A new Penn Schoen Berland poll shows Democrat Brian Lentz and Republican Patrick Meehan statistically tied.  Lentz has 39 percent and Meehan has 40 percent.  Conducted October 2-7, the poll surveyed 405 likely voters and has a 4.9 percent margin of error. [Daily Times, 10/13/10]

Maffei Leads Buerkle by 12 in New NY-25 Poll
A new Siena Research Institute poll shows Representative Dan Maffei leading Republican challenger Ann Marie Buerkle by 12 percent.  Maffei leads Buerkle 51 percent to 39 percent.  Conducted October 10-12, the poll surveyed 623 likely voters and has a 3.9 percent margin of error. Keating Leads Perry by 3 in New MA-10 Poll
A new WGBH poll shows Democrat Bill Keating leading Jeff Perry by 3 percent.  Keating leads Perry 46 percent to 43 percent.  Conducted October 13-15, the poll surveyed 400 likely voters and has a 4.9 percent margin of error. [Boston Globe, 10/18/10]

Campaign Polls

Bishop Leads Keown by 10 in New GA-02 Poll
A new Lester & Associates poll shows Representative Sanford Bishop leading Republican challenger Mike Keown by 10 percent.  Bishop leads Keown 50 percent to 40 percent.  Conducted October 7-10, the poll surveyed 500 likely voters and has a 3.9 margin of error.  [CQ-Roll Call, 10/14/10]

DeFazio Leads Robinson by 14 in New OR-04 Poll
A new Grove Insight poll shows Representative Peter DeFazio leading Republican challenger Art Robinson by 14 percent.  In the initial head-to-head in the race for Oregon’s 4th congressional district, DeFazio leads Robinson 53 percent to 39 percent.  Conducted October 11-12, the poll surveyed 400 likely voters and has a 4.9 percent margin of error.
