New DCCC TV Ad Targets Lobbyist David Rouzer for Supporting End of Medicare

The DCCC continued on offense over Medicare today, releasing the second Independent Expenditure campaign TV ad of the cycle hitting lobbyist David Rouzer, candidate in North Carolina's 7th district, for his support of the Ryan budget that ends Medicare, raising health care costs for seniors to pay for more tax breaks for millionaires. The DCCC ad will begin running Friday.

The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office found that the Ryan plan would raise health care costs for seniors by $6,400 while the Tax Policy Center found it would cut taxes for people making over $1 million a year by $265,000.

SCRIPT OF DCCC IE AD (NC-07)

[David Rouzer from TV Ad]: “We need more North Carolina values in Washington”

Voiceover:      David Rouzer’s budget would “essentially end Medicare.”

That’s not a North Carolina value.

Seniors would pay sixty four hundred dollars a year more for their health care.

And David Rouzer would use that money to give millionaires another tax cut.  That’s definitely not a North Carolina value.

Seniors pay more so millionaires can pay less? David Rouzer sounds like he’s in Washington already.
