NY-23: Principled and Independent? Nope, Scozzafava is A Loyal Partisan
Albany Politician's Party Bosses Commit Her to Voting Along Party Lines 95% of the Time
This morning a Washington, DC paper reported that Albany politician Dede Scozzafava's Republican Party bosses have committed her to toeing the Washington Republican Party's line 95 percent of the time in a desperate attempt and shore up political support for her campaign. So much for the "principled" and "independent" candidate that Assemblywoman Scozzafava claims to be.
In addition to throwing the best interests of her district and constituents out the window in favor of partisanship, the Albany politician's pandering only reinforces the fact that she only looks out for herself and will do anything to help her politically.
"It's clear that Albany politician Dede Scozzafava's real priority is toeing her party's line and serving her own politics, not the best interests of her constituents," said Shripal Shah, Northeast Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. "Her rhetoric on being an independent and principled representative for her district has no credibility and her record of supporting the reckless Bush tax cuts, deficit spending, and more taxes make it clear that she's not the kind of leader Upstate New York needs."
