Statement on House Republicans Voting to Go on Taxpayer Vacation Instead of Middle Class Tax Cuts

DCCC Communications Director Jesse Ferguson issued the following statement after House Republicans started their 5-week taxpayer funded vacation.

“These House Republicans sure know how to cut and run. After passing a $160,000 tax cut for millionaires and delivering another punch to the stomach to the middle class, House Republicans decided they don’t need to get anything done to create jobs or protect the middle class and seniors. House Republicans have all the time in the world to give more tax breaks to their millionaire campaign contributors, Big Oil, and companies shipping jobs overseas but can’t be bothered to stop their taxpayer funded vacation in order to stand up for the middle class, seniors, and small businesses.
