NY-20: Will the Real Jim Tedisco Please Stand Up?

Share
DCCC Press:

With his poll numbers tanking and his campaign in disarray, yesterday career Albany politician Jim Tedisco announced he is taking control of his campaign from national Republicans in Washington for the final 18 days of the campaign.   Tedisco's new "local" strategy was rolled out on the day it was reported that the Republican National Committee pumped an additional $100,000 into the race via the New York State Republican Committee to fund more desperate attacks, the National Republican Congressional Committee began new attack ads, and it was reported that the "new" Tedisco will be raising money with House Republican Whip Eric Cantor.

It looks like the "real Jim Tedisco" is the same career Albany politician who has supported a felon campaign contributor, created a job for another campaign contributor that pays a six figure salary at the expense of taxpayers, and abuses taxpayer funded perks that are as widely documented as Tedisco's 221 votes to raise taxes.

"The 'real Jim' puts felons first and created a job for a contributor with a six figure salary at the expense of taxpayers," said Jennifer Crider, Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Communications Director.  "Career Albany politician Jim Tedisco can't even answer a simple ‘yes' or ‘no' question about the economic recovery act.  Switching campaign strategies won't help Tedisco get on the right side of issues voters care most about."
