Dede Scozzafava in Her Own Words:
"What's the Hurry to Change Health Care?"
The DCCC today unveiled a new web video showing Albany politician Dede Scozzafava proving how out of touch she is by asking 'what's the hurry to change health care' even as the number of uninsured New Yorkers soars. The Albany politician's outrageous statement comes as no surprise considering her record of voting against affordable health care for hundreds of thousands of other New Yorkers.
"As an Albany politician who gets her own health care paid for by the taxpayers, it's no surprise that Scozzafava is in no hurry to change the status quo so hardworking families can get affordable care," said Shripal Shah, Northeast Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. "Whether she's voting to raise or extend taxes on New Yorkers while refusing to pay outstanding tax liens on her family business or now saying there's 'no hurry' to reform health care, it's clear that Scozzafava is nothing more than an out of touch Albany politician who only looks out for herself."
