BREAKING: Coffman-Supported Health Care Bill Would Leave 24 MILLION MORE Uninsured

Today, the Congressional Budget Office released its analysis of the Republican health care bill and it’s clear that it drives costs up and coverage down – all while giving tax breaks to millionaires and health insurance CEO’s. The CBO estimates that it would cause 24 million Americans to lose their health insurance coverage by 2026. An estimated 14 million people could lose coverage as soon as next year.

This nonpartisan analysis makes clear that despite their bold promises, Republicans never truly intended to replace the Affordable Care Act with a viable alternative, reduce the cost of health insurance, or protect access to affordable health care for working families and seniors.

After Representative Mike Coffman campaigned on an unconditional pledge to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, he owns this destructive bill and all its devastating consequences for Colorado families.

“Representative Mike Coffman promised to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act with lower costs and more coverage. Instead, the most trusted nonpartisan analysis has clarified that 24 million Americans would lose their health care under this Republican plan,” said DCCC spokesperson Tyler Law. “Now Mike Coffman will have to own the consequences of this disastrous bill and the fact that he misled his constituents for years.”
