Actually, they didn’t.
Instead, with President Trump in Miami on Friday, they literally stood by his side and made no public statements on the same day as his administration rescinded DAPA – President Obama’s program to protect undocumented parents of lawful U.S. residents and citizens.

Congressman Curbelo and Diaz-Balart have both previously expressed support for DAPA. Their silence as President Trump rescinds the program shows that Curbelo and Diaz-Balart have chosen political convenience over millions of families who are at risk (again).
“Carlos Curbelo and Mario Diaz-Balart refused to speak up for South Florida’s diverse immigrant community on an issue they claimed to support in the past. That sends a loud and clear message to all voters that Rep. Curbelo and Rep. Diaz-Balart just can’t be trusted,” said Cole Leiter of the DCCC.
