Despite saying, “I’ll be the first one to come out and point at Russia if there’s clear evidence,” Nunes has remained silent in the face of Donald Trump, Jr. tweeting out such evidence two days ago. DCCC spokesperson Drew Godinich released the following statement:
“After being forced to step back from the Russian investigation in disgrace after working with the White House to undermine the investigation, Devin Nunes promised to ‘point at Russia’ if ‘clear evidence’ was found. Now that Donald Trump Jr. has literally tweeted that evidence into the public sphere, Devin Nunes is conspicuously silent – just as he’s been silent for years on the issues facing the people of the Central Valley.”
