Only 24% of voters in Iowa’s 3rd District have a favorable opinion of Young
Today, Public Policy Polling (PPP) released a poll showing Congressman David Young seriously underwater. A measly 24% of voters have a favorable opinion of Young while a full 35% do NOT approve of the job he’s doing – an embarrassing 11 points underwater! Bottom line: no amount of spin on the ball can change the reality that Young’s short tenure in Congress is already putting his reelection prospects in doubt.
“It’s not surprising that Congressman Young – who voted to make college more expensive and supported the reckless plan to shut down the Department of Homeland Security – is facing backlash from his constituents,” said DCCC Communications Director Matt Thornton. “These terrible numbers come less than a week after Iowans discovered that Young racked up fines for failing to pay his Washington, DC, property taxes on time.”
