About Annette Taddeo
Annette Taddeo is a mother, wife, and successful small business owner. Annette has dedicated her life to her community, working to improve access to education, healthcare and jobs through volunteering, mentoring youth and her work as a business community leader. Annette is running for Congress to put her experience to work and bring much needed change to Florida's 18th Congressional District.
As Founder & CEO of LanguageSpeak, a comprehensive language services company offering translations, conference interpretation and private tutoring in over 100languages, Annette has proven that hard work and dedication pay off. She has run her successful business for over 15 years, and has been featured on CBS' syndicated TV show "Hispanics Today", Univision's "Despierta America", & Telemundo's "Cada Día". In addition, Annette has been profiled in Hispanic Magazine, South Florida CEO, Miami Today's "The Achiever" and appeared on the cover of El Nuevo Herald's "Negocios con Bloomberg," among many others. Annette's company was named a Top 500 Diversity Owned Businesses in the US in 2007 by DiversityBusiness.com. She has been named "Businesswoman of the Year" by Camacol, the South Florida Business Journal, Office Depot, Women in International Trade & the National Republican Congressional Committee's Business Advisory Council.
Annette is the Chair of the Women's Enterprise National Council's Leadership Forum and serves on the Executive Board of WIPP-Women Impacting Public Policy. She is also immediate Past-Chairman of the Coalition of Dade-County Chambers of Commerce and Past Chairman of the Women's Chamber of Commerce of Miami-Dade County.
Her community activities and strong business leadership have resulted in numerous honors and awards including being profiled by Yahoo! Telemundo for Hispanic heritage month with her inspirational success story and receiving the WIPP Entrepreneurial Diversity Award in 2007.
Annette was selected by the Small Business Administration as the Minority Business Champion of the Year, and received the "Latina Excellence Award" from Hispanic
Magazine. She has also been listed as one of the "Top 50 Latina Entrepreneurs in the US" by Hispanic Magazine. Annette Taddeo received a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of North Alabama and completed two Executive Education programs at the Tuck school of Business at Dartmouth.
Annette is married to Dr. Eric Goldstein, a Clinical Psychologist & Motivational Speaker. She has twin 17-year old step-daughters and a 2-year old daughter. Annette and her husband belong to Beth David Congregation and live in Pinecrest.
