DCCC Chairman Luján Announces Congressman Maloney to Lead DCCC After-Action Review

DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Luján announced today that Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney will lead an after-action “deep dive” on behalf of the DCCC, in order to ensure that the Committee is constantly evolving and improving, and running in the smartest and most efficient ways possible. Luján will work with Maloney over the next 90 days to do an in-depth review of the DCCC’s systems, practices, and investments, in order to identify areas of success that should be replicated and to identify areas for improvement in the future.

Maloney will work closely with the Committee, Members, consultants and stakeholders for this report, the results and recommendations of which he will report to the Chair, and initial findings will be provided to the Caucus during its February retreat.

“I am pleased that my friend Sean Patrick Maloney has agreed to lead the important task of conducting an after-action review of the DCCC’s 2016 activities, in order to identify the strategies and investments that helped us gain seats despite a tough national environment, and to determine important areas for improvement where we fell short. We must redouble our commitment to improve and learn as an organization, with direct input from our Caucus, and Sean’s willingness to spearhead this review and provide House Democrats with substantive recommendations for change is deeply appreciated,” said DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Luján.
