The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee today announced record-breaking totals for year-to-date and quarter-to-date fundraising. The DCCC has raised over $29 million this quarter and nearly $60 million this year, including $10.72M in June. The DCCC solidly outraised the NRCC in both May and June while House Republicans were suffering from a self-inflicted healthcare disaster.
In addition to breaking its year-to-date and quarterly fundraising records, the DCCC has also experienced a massive increase in grassroots fundraising via online, direct mail and telemarketing, raising more than $37M in the first six months of the year. Online donations alone have reached $26.33M – an increase over the $19.7M that the Committee raised online in all of 2015.
Looking deeper into the numbers, it’s clear that grassroots momentum is with the DCCC during a cycle when the House is in play:
- $26.33M online in 2017 with an average gift of $18.54.
- $4.05M online in June.
- 3 million new email sign ups in 2017.
- Nearly $10.8M through mail and on the phones in 2017.
- Over $37M – more than 60% of the total raised in 2017 – came from grassroots donations online, in the mail, and over the phones.
- In total, we’ve received contributions from nearly 300k first-time grassroots donors in 2017.
- 1,785,055 grassroots gifts (under $200) in 2017.
