Following the Budget Committee’s passage of the House Republican budget, DCCC Spokesman Tyler Law issued the following statement:
“A budget is an opportunity to outline priorities and values, and House Republicans have exposed themselves as out-of-touch with hardworking Americans and unwilling to stand behind policies to grow our economy.
“This partisan budget further clarifies that Speaker Ryan and his Republican Conference have learned absolutely nothing from their healthcare repeal disaster. This budget is little more than unnecessary tax cuts for the wealthy and large corporations on the backs of workers, an assault on Medicare and Social Security, and cuts to important investments in skills training and college affordability. In the end, House Republicans’ priorities don’t match those of the American people.”
