The Republican Congress is leaving the Department of Homeland Security’s employees in limbo with only one week left before the Republican Congress shuts down DHS. House Republicans are still choosing total dysfunction and political games over improving our economy and protecting our national security.
Next week, Republicans will only have four legislative days to protect the American people and not put livelihoods at risk.
“The whole purpose of getting elected to Congress is to prioritize the American people, their livelihoods, and their safety, which is the exact opposite of what House Republicans are doing,” said Matt Thornton of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “The Republican-run House is proving every step of the way that they are incapable of governing.”
