Greg Gianforte just plead guilty to criminal assault following his brutal body slam of Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs last month. Being an admitted violent criminal has a couple of drawbacks, potentially including:
- Being ineligible for a security clearance
- Unable to work at or visit the White House
- Disqualified from being an Uber driver
- Ineligible to become a substitute teacher in Montana
- Ineligible to drive a school bus in Montana
- Banned from being a daycare provider in Montana
- Ineligible for a concealed weapons permit in Montana
- Failing the bar character and fitness examination
DCCC spokesperson Drew Godinich released the following statement:
“Convicted criminal Greg Gianforte may no longer be eligible to be a substitute teacher or obtain a concealed weapons permit in Montana, and he certainly has no business representing Montana in Congress. Our leaders in Washington should be held to the highest ethical standard – and Greg Gianforte, now-admitted violent criminal, falls clearly and woefully short of that standard. His criminal record is an albatross around his neck and the neck around all Republicans who refuse to condemn him, and is why he’s unfit to serve.”
