Congressman Ben Ray Luján released the following statement after being reelected by the Democratic Caucus as Chairman of the DCCC for the 2018 election cycle:
“It’s a great honor and privilege that the Democratic Caucus has entrusted me with this important role for a second cycle.
“Working closely together, House Democrats will reach out to hardworking people across America to listen, to earn and maintain their trust, and to act on their behalf. My mom worked for over 30 years in our local public school district and my dad retired as an iron worker; as their son, I’ve always believed that improving the lives of working families must be at the center of all that Democrats do.
“In this role leading the DCCC, I look forward to spending a great deal of time listening to our diverse and energized Caucus and ensuring that all voices have a meaningful impact on our strategy in order to build on – and maximize – our gains in the cycle ahead.”
