Clinton Leads Trump by Five Points
A new poll conducted by Tulchin Research found Democrat Bryan Caforio has closed the gap between himself and one-term incumbent Republican Steve Knight and is now in a statistical tie in the race for California’s 25th Congressional District.
Caforio trails Knight by just two points – 44 percent to 46 percent – well within the margin of error.
At the top of the ticket, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump by five points – 46 percent to 41 percent. Television ads have linked Knight, especially his extreme record on women’s issues, to his toxic nominee.
“The more that voters hear about Congressman Steve Knight’s extreme anti-woman agenda, the less they like him,” said Barb Solish of the DCCC. “With less than three weeks until Election Day, Bryan Caforio is in a strong position to defeat Knight.”
