This morning, on ABC’s This Week, Republican Leader John Boehner said: I think Donald Rumsfeld is the best thing that's happened to the Pentagon in 25 years.

“Congressman Boehner’s defense of Donald Rumsfeld makes it crystal clear that we need change in Washington from the rubberstamp Republican Congress and their blind adherence to President Bush and Secretary Rumsfeld’s stay the course policy in Iraq,” said Congressman Rahm Emanuel, chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “Mr. Boehner may want to consider for his Sunday night reading what Secretary Rumsfeld’s own generals on the ground have had to say about his failed leadership. I’ve included some of their most poignant quotes as it appears he’s had trouble finding their comments.”
