After 18 Years in Washington, Congressman Latham Can’t Deliver for Iowa

Following is a statement from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee after media reports that the House killed the five-year Farm Bill critical to Iowa’s economic security:

“Congressman Latham wants another two years in Washington, but he can no longer deliver for Iowa’s middle class families and farmers, who desperately need a long-term farm bill,” said Brandon Lorenz of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “Voters in Congressman Latham’s district who supported President Obama last year are not going to send Congressman Latham back to a Congress that is so chaotic and dysfunctional that it can’t even pass the farm bill.”
