Bono Mack Hypocrisy Watch: She Votes Against Clean Energy Funding for Hemet, Then Hypes It

Once again, Congresswoman Bono Mack played the hypocrisycard, touting the importance of a clean energy technology grant headed to Hemet, after opposing thatvery grant funding.

"Congresswoman Bono Mack voted against the economic recoverypackage in Washington, but when she was backin Riverside County this weekend, she once againtouted its benefits," said Andy Stone, Western Regional Press Secretary for theDemocratic Congressional Campaign Committee.  "Bono Mack's well-wornpattern of doing one thing in Washingtonand saying another back home is wearing pretty thin."

Despite calling the economic recovery package"irresponsible" at the time of passage, last Friday, Congresswoman Bono Mackactually touted the green jobs that will be created as a result of Hemet's stimulus-fundedgrant and even cited the grant's region-wide benefits.
