BREAKING: Romney Continues to Drag Down Upstate New York Republicans
According to a Siena Research Institute Poll out this morning, Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney continues to be a drag on Republican Congressional Candidates in Upstate New York. Romney now has an abysmal 36-57 favorable to unfavorable among upstate voters. House Speaker John Boehner has even said that NY Republicans are “frankly pretty vulnerable” with a drag from the top of the ticket.
“With the latest numbers showing nearly sixty percent of Upstate voters holding an unfavorable opinion of Mitt Romney, Republican congressional candidates are in for an uphill climb,” said Josh Schwerin, Northeast Press Secretary at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “Now Republican candidates in New York will not only have to defend their agenda of drastically cutting Medicare to pay for tax cuts for millionaires, they’ll also have to overcome a Presidential candidate who grows more and more toxic by the day.”
