Career Politician Woody Jenkins Doesn’t Think He Should Pay Taxes

Since 1990, Jenkins has had at least 20 tax liens totaling more than $340,000 filed against his own company, Great Oaks Broadcasting, by the state and federal government for a failure to pay taxes.

“Woody Jenkins has been late to pay his business taxes almost every year since 1990,” said Kyra Jennings, Southern Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.  “Woody Jenkins clearly thinks career politicians like him don’t have to pay their taxes, while working families are struggling to pay their tax bill next week.”

In 1996, the New Orleans Times-Picayune wrote an article detailing 14 tax liens placed on Woody Jenkins’ company by state and federal agencies for a total of $219,964. [Times-Picayune, 10/14/96]
