Congressmen Cardoza & Klein to Chair DCCC’s Business Council
Washington, DC - Congressman Chris Van Hollen, Chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), today announced that Congressmen Dennis Cardoza (CA) and Ron Klein (FL) will co-chair the Business Council, working with Vice Chair for Finance Joe Crowley to lead the DCCC's outreach to the business community.
"Business leaders were an important part of Democrats' victories in 2006 and 2008 and will be important this cycle in helping Democrats continue our agenda to keep America competitive," said DCCC Chairman Chris Van Hollen. "Congressmen Crowley, Cardoza, and Klein will provide invaluable expertise and leadership as we continue to tap into the energy around the country for Democrats' business agenda."
Congressman Cardoza said, "As a co-chair of the Frontline program last cycle, we helped threatened incumbents more effectively communicate their agenda to the business community. That is even more critical this cycle. I look forward to working with Chairman Van Hollen, Vice Chairman Crowley, and my co-chair Ron Klein on building on our business community support that helps to elect Democrats to Congress."
