Day 118: House Republican Priority Still Isn’t Job Creation

House Republicans are at it again. Two weeks ago, House Republicans voted to end Medicare so they could protect taxpayer giveaways for Big Oil companies making record profits and this week they’re planning votes to limit a woman’s reproductive rights and repeal health insurance reform. Republicans have still failed to do anything that creates jobs for 118 days, 16 hours and 8 minutes according to the clock at www.whenarethejobs.com and that trend continues this week.

“After voting to end Medicare while protecting taxpayer giveaways for Big Oil, this week House Republicans’ priority is limiting a woman’s health care choices and repealing health insurance reform rather than creating jobs,” said Jesse Ferguson of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “While the top priority for the American people is clearly job creation, after 118 days, the top priority for House Republicans is clearly anything but creating jobs.”
