Enthusiasm for Democrats New Direction Agenda Help the DCCC Sustain Record Fundraising Pace
Chairman Chris Van Hollen today announced the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) raised $17 million, has $19.5 million in cash on hand, and has paid down the debt to $4 million in the second quarter of 2007.
Americans across the country are continuing to enthusiastically support the Democrats New Direction for the country, Chairman Van Hollen said. Americans are responding to our efforts to hold President Bush accountable and see we are fighting for middle class families, not special interests.
The DCCCs second consecutive strong fundraising quarter reflects continued enthusiasm for Speaker Pelosi and the House Democrats agenda. At $19.5 million cash on hand, the DCCC has a 10-1 advantage to the NRCCs $2 million. The DCCC has $10 million more cash on hand now than at the same time in 2005.
