DCCC Releases “Some Things” TV Ad Targeting Congressman Bilbray, Career Lobbyist & Politician

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is launching its second Independent Expenditure campaign TV ad exposing Congressman Brian Bilbray (CA-52) for being a career politician and lobbyist who sides with special interests over the middle class. As a lobbyist, Bilbray made $40,000 from the energy industry. As a Congressman, Bilbray also took over $500,000 in campaign contributions from the energy industry and voted to protect their tax breaks at the expense of the middle class. The ad began airing today.

Script of DCCC IE AD “Some Things”:

Voiceover:                  For all that’s changed since Brian Bilbray first ran for office, some things haven’t.

For thirty-six years, Bilbray’s either been a politician or a lobbyist.

He made thousands lobbying for a company he helped in Congress…

… raised hundreds of thousands from special interests he lobbied for.

…and protects their tax breaks at the expense of the middle-class.

Whoever Bilbray’s working for – he’s not working for you.
