DCCC Statement on Texas 23rd Congressional District Run-off Election
Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Western Regional Press Secretary Amber Moon released the following statement after Pete Gallego’s victory in the Democratic runoff in Texas’ 23rd Congressional District.
“Since coming to Washington, Congressman Quico Canseco has supported an extreme agenda to cut Medicare in order to protect big tax breaks for millionaires and corporations that ship jobs overseas – all while keeping taxpayer funded health care for himself. Voters in Southwest Texas deserve a Congressman who will stand with them first, but Congressman Canseco has turned his back on Texas’ middle class, seniors and kids in favor of the ultra wealthy, corporations and big banks.”
