Dede Scozzafava Travels Far and Wide to Embrace Failed Tax Policies
Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafavatraveled far and wide this week to tout her commitment to failed George W. Busheconomic policies and a reckless tax agenda that hurts the middle class whileonly benefiting wealthy special interests.
On Wednesday, the Albanypolitician joined her party bosses in Washingtonto reaffirm her commitment to the reckless George Bush tax policies that onlybenefited wealthy special interests. The same Republican Party bossesthat hosted her pledged she'd support their agenda 95 percent of thetime.
Today, she returns to New York to stand with a fellow Albany politician, Senate Republican LeaderDean Skelos, and remind voters of her reckless record of supporting highertaxes on middle class New Yorkers. In Albany,Scozzafava voted to raise or extend taxes over 190 times.
"Embracing the failed George Busheconomic policies in Washington and her own reckless record on taxes in Albanywithin days proves that Upstate families looking for a new way forward can'tlook to Assemblywoman Scozzafava," said Shripal Shah, Northeast Regional PressSecretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
"Her commitment to the George Bushtax agenda that only benefited wealthy special interests and her 190 votes toraise or extend taxes have come to define Scozzafava's career. Scozzafava'srecord on taxes is clearly at odds with the best interests of middleclass families in Upstate New York and her plummeting poll numbers prove thatvoters are rejecting her failed agenda."
"With principles like these, look for her campaign'sfreefall to continue."
