Enthusiasm for Democrats New Direction Agenda Sustains DCCCs Record Fundraising
Chairman Chris Van Hollen today announced the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) raised $16 million, has $28.3 million cash on hand, and has paid down the debt to $2.9 million in the third quarter of 2007.
Americans across the country are enthusiastically supporting the Democrats New Direction for the country, Chairman Van Hollen said. Americans are responding to our efforts to hold President Bush accountable, our fight for childrens health care, and our focus on middle class families, not special interests.
The DCCCs third consecutive strong fundraising quarter reflects continued enthusiasm for Speaker Pelosi and the House Democrats agenda. As a result, the DCCC has recruited more than 40 top notch candidates around the country.
