Esty Holds 9 Point Lead Over Roraback in New CT-05 Poll
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee today released a new Global Strategy Group poll that shows Elizabeth Esty (CT-05) with a nine point lead over Republican candidate Andrew Roraback. Esty is earning 45 percent of the vote, making her well positioned to hold this district for Democrats.
After voters are read positive profiles of both Esty and Roraback, Esty’s lead expands to 15 points, 53 percent to 38 percent.
“While Elizabeth Esty proves to voters she is an independent leader who will stand up for the middle class, Connecticut voters are rejecting Andrew Roraback for standing with the Republican Party that would ask seniors to pay more for health care in order to give tax breaks to millionaires and Big Oil companies,” said Stephen Carter, of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “Andrew Roraback’s extremism is wrong for Connecticut’s seniors and middle class and he can’t be trusted as a moderate voice in Congress.”
