Joe Heck: A Textbook Case of Political Opportunism

With his gubernatorial poll numbers at the bottom of thebarrel, it's no surprise that Joe Heck would put his political career first andquit the governor's race.  After all, Joe Heck has a history of puttinghis interests first - above those of Southern Nevadans.

"After his leadership in the state Senate was rejected by Clark Countyvoters and with his campaign for governor barely even registering, today JoeHeck is jumping into the Congressional race," said Andy Stone, Western RegionalPress Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. "With Joe Heck's last stint in public service chock full of examples in whichhe put the special interests first, it's no wonder Joe Heck is putting anotherspecial interest first today - his own."

In the State Legislature, Joe Heck put the special interestsfirst, favoring insurance companies, banks, and developers ahead of patients andconsumers.  As a result, Joe Heck was rejected by the voters in SenateDistrict 5, he was being rejected by voters in the Governor's race, and he willbe rejected by voters in the Third District.
