Congressman Kuhl Misleads Western New York Families; Touts false record on homeland security

In a press release to his local reporters Congressman Kuhl touts that, “Kuhl Votes To Protect The Homeland,” when in fact he voted against the Homeland Security Appropriations bill (roll call vote 491). In a blatant attempt to conceal the fact that he voted against millions of dollars to protect our borders, Congressman Kuhl thought it would be easier to just lie.

“As much as he may want to, Randy Kuhl can't rewrite history,” said Carrie James, regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “Congressman Kuhl should be embarrassed for voting against a measure that would help keep our families safe, and ashamed for trying to mislead his constituents.”

Background:

Ø HR 2638, a $37 Billion Homeland Security Appropriations measure, passed the House in a bipartisan vote of 268-150-14.
