One Day Late, Mike Fitzpatrick Celebrates his Rough First 100 Days

While the freshman class of the US House of Representatives celebrated their first 100 days on Thursday, Representative Mike Fitzpatrick (PA-08) had to wait until today.  That’s because while the rest of the 112th Congress was taking their oath of office, Representative Fitzpatrick was busy hosting a fundraiser in the Capitol.  Since then, things haven’t gotten much better for Representative Fitzpatrick.

“Since Representative Mike Fitzpatrick couldn’t be bothered to actually get sworn in to Congress on time, he gets to celebrate his 100 day anniversary alone, “said Josh Schwerin, Northeast Regional Press Secretary at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.  “But not to worry, Representative Fitzpatrick still managed to get to work dodging unhappy constituents, voting against protecting Pennsylvania jobs, getting tied up in Bush Administration ethics investigations, and is now celebrating his 100th day by voting to end Medicare.  On second thought, maybe it’s a good thing he’s gotten one less day in office…”
