Representatives Mario Diaz-Balart and Lincoln Diaz-Balart Fail to Protect 600 Acres of the Florida E

 

 

For the 2nd time in two weeks, Representatives Mario and Lincoln Diaz-Balart voted against protecting 600 acres of Florida Everglades.

 

"Representatives Mario and Lincoln Diaz-Balart voted not once, but twice in two weeks against protecting a critical part of the Everglades," said Jessica Santillo, Southern Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.  "If they aren't in Washington to stand up for Florida, why are they there?"

  • Sec. 7107 of the Omnibus Public Land Management Act contains a provision to allow Everglades National Park to purchase 600 acres of land and water from the Nature Conservancy.
