Republican Budget Chairman Ryan Pretends 2012 Was ‘Status Quo’ Election
On NBC’s Meet the Press this morning, Republican Budget Chairman Paul Ryan (WI-01) said that 2012 election was a “status quo” contest.
In reality, the American people voted overwhelmingly to embrace Democrats’ agenda of protecting and expanding the middle class – and rejected Tea Party Republicans’ plan to put millionaires before the middle class. President Obama won by a commanding 5 million votes, Democrats expanded their majority in the Senate and defeated Tea Party Republicans in the House. Democrats won the national popular vote for the House of Representatives.
